Description: Large rectangular shield of curved trunk-like form, with six ancestral faces having circular eyes, winged noses with perforated septum, and organic foliate detail. Obverse with white, black, and red pigment. Parallel ridge handle structure on back with woven raffia grip. Sides perforated for fiber fringes. Age crack along top edge.
Provenance: Collection of Ernst Haas, photojournalist and pioneer photographer. By descent to his son.
