| Description: |
A large, decorated pottery vessel having two shoulder registers, each containing two stylized octopi with waves above and undulating serpents beneath. Lower body decorated with a repeating pattern of tear drop shaped elements. Red-brown ground with painted black decoration and white highlights. Twin opposing, triple segmented strap handles. Professionally repaired from several large original pieces with restoration over the break lines and a minor amount of inpainting. |
