Expressive old mask with flattened facial planes, open, heavily-lidded, slit eyes with double brows and triangular incisions. A thick vertical cicatrix on the forehead with horizontal perpendicular lines, the open mouth and full lips in naturalistic form, The aged dark brown surface with rich patination and eroded sides. A rare early example. |
