Description: Exceptional monumental buff-brown color pottery seated dignitary, depicted with very expressive facial features, having a slight pensive smile, long mustache and goatee, lidded eyes, with curving brows, and incised crows feet. Wearing floral ear ornaments, a pendant necklace and loincloth. Legs crossed and resting his left hand on his leg, right hand projecting forward and resting on his raised knee. This is most probably an ancient portrait of a real priest. Repaired from several pieces with restoration over the break lines. This is a really great example.
