Large jade mosaic human face mask, composed of twenty cut and carved blue-green jade tessarae and two carved ear spools. Depicted with large round eyes, large angular nose and bow shape upper lip. Professionally conserved with a solid cast lucite backing by Robert Stoetzer. Minor ancient loss on the edge of one ear spool, otherwise overall exc. cond. An impressive example. |
