Description: |
Gold finger ring set with an oval nicolo intaglio, which is an onyx agate cut to leave a thin layer of whitish blue over a thicker layer of black. Depicting a standing male figure with a coiled snake sitting on his raised right arm, additionally holding a spear and a shield at his feet. Gold shank is somewhat misshapen and some minor imperfections on the inner rim of the gold bezel, intaglio is intact, exc. cond. |
