Description: |
Both are decorated pottery bowls, first with four seated dignitaries separated with four vertical columns of stylized glyphs. Painted red-orange on a cream ground with traces of black highlights. Heavily weathered surface with loss to the painted decoration. Together with an orange ware bowl decorated with a wide central band of stylized geometric elements. Upper and lower solid red bands. Rim chip with an extending stable hairline. Heavily weathered surface with loss to the painted decoration and surface pitting. |
