Good old “bateba phuwe” divination figure standing upon thick platform feet and slightly bent legs, bearing long straight torso with small pointed breasts and arms carved in relief. Her round head with small cowry-shell shape eyes within concave face framed by brows, sloping cheeks, and small mouth; hollowed circular ears on sides. Layered encrusted patina, areas of libation deposits. Stable age cracks, eroded losses on feet. Custom base. |
