| Description: |
Fine sensitively detailed carving of a student holding a book in one hand and a writing tool in other. He is clothed in European garb with pleated shorts, suspenders, and a buttoned short-sleeve shirt with collar. His face bears large almond-shaped eyes, cicatrice on cheeks, and particularly fine hair with braided hairline and faceted part at angle above relief ear. His legs are well defined and he stands on a short base with stacked forms. Few age cracks. Beautiful rich polished patina. Charming detail. Custom, socketed base mount. |
