Description: |
Striking sculptural headdress with sweeping long lines, the abstract antelope bears tall tapered horns rising upward from long slender head and snout, and curved ears extending behind. The head rises from cylindrical neck with squared opening at base pierced along edges for attachment to fiber covering. The whole surface covered with intricate geometric patterns of cream and red-brown pigment with indigo blue accentuated triangles along front. Hairline age cracks, some surface wear. Custom base. |
