Description: Attic red-figure amphora attributed to the Matsch Painter, having a double tiered foot, rope type loop handles and echinus mouth. The body decorated with a himation-clad youth and a chiton and himation clad woman, holding staves, flanking a table surmounted by a kalathos. Reverse with a himation clad youth holding a staff. Rayed decoration around the base of the neck. Mineral deposits on the surface. A 4” original piece reattached in the rim, Several small rim chips. Areas of paint loss to the black ground.
