| Description: |
Fine Attic black figure “Eye” kylix, decorated on the exterior on both sides with Bacchus, bearded and robed, between a pair of eyes, on one side standing and on the other seated. vine tendrils in the field. The interior with a reserved medallion containing Bacchus dancing. Repaired from approximately twelve original pieces with breaklines slightly visible. A 5” piece of the rim is restored, affecting the top corner of one of the large eyes. A well painted, beautiful example. |
