Red-figure decorated pottery, lidded mug with knotted handle. The body is painted with a kneeling Eros holding a box and a grape branch, a fan across his knees. Palmettes flanked by scrolls beneath the handle. A profile female head, Lady of Fashion, on the lid surrounded by scrolls and a palmette. Large finial on lid. A 1” piece reattached on the rim of lid, two minor restored chips on lid, otherwise intact, overall exc. cond. |
