| Description: |
A long border consisting of twenty-three dolls with upraised arms whose hair was the fringe of a mantle. This colorful example has dramatic expressions on the faces of the figures with their two legs below and their arms linked with batons in their hands. The waistband of the figures shows a checkerboard motif reminiscent of garment design. Some loss to hair fringe, otherwise exc. cond. Sewn to a tan textile backing and stretched over a wooden frame. A nice example. |
