Large hollow pottery seated female figure with splayed legs and hands held to waist. Nicely formed elongated head, incised hairdo and nicely modeled facial features. Wearing elaborate ear ornaments. Painted red upper body and lower legs, black net and swirl pattern midsection, cream ground. Scattered mineral deposits on the surface. Head reattached with restoration over the breakline, some general fading to the painted surface, otherwise intact. |
