Description: |
Matching pair of hollow pottery standing male and female figures. The male is wearing a horned helmet and holding a club in front, with incised, finely crosshatched body armor. Female has a finely incised hairdo, wearing a necklace and arm bands, holding both hands to her stomach, black resist circular pattern on the female’s buttocks. Both with matching ear ornaments. Painted white highlights and details on a red-brown surface. Strong mineral deposits on both figures. Females head reattached with breakline visible. Rear portion of male’s right foot reattached with visible breakline. Stabilized hairline through buttocks and back, left horn on helmet reattached. |
