Description: |
A very large, hollow redware pottery, barrel chested, seated warrior holding a club with both hands in front of his chest, wearing a horned helmet and armor over his chest both having an intricately incised woven pattern. Red-brown surface with black resist dot and linear decorative patterns. Repaired from approximately eight large original pieces with restoration over the breaklines. A few small areas of restoration on the body and both horns, tips of club and tip of nose restored. |
