Fine carved black hardstone semiabstract human face mask, elegantly carved with high relief brows and large, highly arched nose. Pecked recessed oval eyes, rounded puckered lips. Biconically drilled through the temples for attachment. Chip on the upper left head and several small ancient chips on the ridge of the nose, otherwise intact, overall exc. cond. Custom metal base. A beautiful example. |
