Description: |
Large solid pottery standing male figure having a finely incised hairdo with a long multi layered pony tail over a scroliate shoulder and back relief decoration. Wearing boots and a loincloth tied in the front. Wearing a mitt over his left hand and a bell shaped instrument in his right hand. Painted red cinnabar body with some remaining white pigment details. Repaired from approximately seven pieces with restoration over the breaklines. Partially restored and repaired left foot. Custom base. A large and very rare example. |
