Large reddish-brown hollow pottery upper portion originally from a very large figure, having well sculpted, expressive facial features and wearing a decorated headdress or hairdo. Some remaining black and red painted highlights. Overall scattered mineral deposits on the surface. Head intact, chest repaired from approximately ten original pieces with restoration over the exterior break lines. Rare in this large size. |
