| Description: |
Carved dense porous limestone seated deity figure, having expressive facial features in a trance-like state. Flat angular forehead with an Olmecoid type mask covering the back of his head. Resting both arms on his legs. Wearing a loincloth, tied in the back, bracelets and having perforated ears. Overall scattered areas of surface deposits on a nice tan surface patina. A few minor losses due to weathering, otherwise intact. A very rare and interesting example. |
