Description: |
Cream-tan color pottery deep dish decorated on the interior with deeply incised decoration including a large central profile head of a deity or mask on the front of an offering box, decorated with geometric elements. Wide interior band of various stepped geometric elements. Scattered mineral deposits and root marks on the surface. Repaired from approximately eight original pieces with restoration over the break lines, and a 3” restored piece in the rim and two smaller restored rim chips. A rare example.
