Description: |
Including a large redware pottery bulbous body olla having a flared rim. Some remaining black resist geometric decoration. Scattered strong mineral deposits on the surface. Rim repaired and partially restored, otherwise intact. Together with an Olmecoid pinkish-tan head vessel depicted with an open bowl on the top of head. Elongated snout as if in transformation into a jaguar, feline shape eyes. Some remaining traces of cream slip, overall scattered surface deposits. Intact, exc. cond. A rare type. |
