Cream color kaolin slip pottery seated figure, leaning slightly forward and grasping his lower left leg and foot with his hands. Right leg extended, left foled, classic elongated head with very finely sculpted facial features. Some remaining traces of red pigment highlights. Overall scattered mineral deposits on the surface. Lower right leg and head reattached with restoration over the break lines, some minor scattered slip loss. A rare and very beautiful example. |
