| Description: |
All early pottery items, first a gray pottery Xochipala-Olmec head with drilled pupils and half feathered head crest. Next a Chupicuaro facial maskette with goatee and applied eyebrows. Triple perforated for suspension. A complete piece. Next three from Tlatilco: a small, fine head from a pretty lady figure with feather textured diadem; a masked head with tiered helmet or headdress; and an appendage-less body wearing a backsplash with cross-body straps. Interesting lot. |
