Fine grayware pottery lidded box, having a cover lid with a fancy rope type handle and with fine-line incised geometric decoration on all four panels. The inner box stands on four small pointed legs and contains a pottery cup. Overall scattered mineral and surface deposits. One leg restored, otherwise intact, exc. cond. A rare and interesting ceremonial box. |
