Description: |
Fine buff color pottery standing female dignitary wearing a very fancy tall headdress composed of a large rope type loop with upper fancy discs with a long tassel. Wearing a long cape, open in the front, exposing a seated old male deity. She is depicted with nicely detailed facial features and raised ceremonial scarification to her cheeks and lips. Wearing disc ear ornaments. Some remaining traces of blue, red-brown and white surface pigment highlights. Working whistle incorporated on the rear base edge. Headdress restored and some loss to forehead. |
