Description: |
Exceptional blue-green jade spoon pendant, having a large incised decoration depicting a reclining warrior/priest holding a knife in his raised right hand and a lit torch in his left hand. Wearing a headdress which terminates with a pointed finial or horn, legs decorated with an incised linear geometric decoration. Two sets of drilled suspension holes along the upper edge. Some remaining traces of cinnabar in the incised design. Intact, exc. cond. A rare and beautiful top quality example. |
