Description: |
Two different polychrome, relief decorated pottery examples, including a hollow conical stand with twin opposing jaguars in low relief, with arms raised, surrounded by finely incised geometric decoration. Intact. Large bulbous bowl with tapered shoulder, relief decorated facial features, upper shoulder having painted geometric and zoomorphic decorative elements. Scattered areas of mineral deposits on the surface. Rear portion of bowl repaired from approximately ten large original pieces with break lines visible. |
