Description: |
Blackware pottery bottle having a bulbous body and thick stirrup type spout. Decorated on both sides with a large stylized jaguar paw, and stylized doorways on the opposing sides, all on a relief stippled ground. Spout elaborately decorated with semi-abstract zoomorphic heads. Some light highpoint glaze wear, mostly to the chimney spout, otherwise intact. A rare and impressive example. |
