| Description: |
Large carved variegated blue-green jade pectoral, ovoid form shallow recessed front with an upper curved rim. Two drilled perforations in the center and four drilled attachment and suspension holes at various points in the rim. On the reverse is a carved and drilled eye, giving evidence that they started to use the jade for a plaque or face. Repaired from five original pieces with very fine break lines somewhat visible. A 3” piece of the outer upper edge is restored. A large and rare example. |
