Fine carved veined blue-green jadeite / serpentine stone human face maskette pendant, having well carved facial features. Recessed eyes, with brown staining around one eye, suggesting that the eyes once held pyrite insets. Carved bib around his chin, two biconical drilled perforations in his ear, and a drilled suspension hole through his temples. Scattered surface deposits. Intact, exc. cond. Custom bronze base. A beautiful example. |
