| Description: |
Fine Pre-classic, orange-buff pottery head, off a full figure, depicting an elderly man having heavy jowels and saggy facial skin. The droopy eyelids, wide nose, extended underbite on the lower lip and double chin give this face real character. Roughness on reverse where it was broken off the complete figure, else intact. Old custom Teochita mount. Together with a very expressive and sweet small head of an infant in solid black pottery having a well rounded head with full, heavy cheeks, deeply set eyes and a small button nose with perforated nostrils. A few chips and some roughness to the back, else intact. Custom metal mount, drilled and sleeved. |
