Carved black serpentine stone standing shaman figure, depicted with an elongated dome type head and well carved, expressive and powerful transformational facial features. Wide mouth with bow shape lips with two upper teeth exposed, tiny drilled and perforated nostrils, well carved nose and tiny biconical drilled ear lobes. Incised belted loincloth. Depicted with truncated arms and short legs, possibly depicting a dwarf. Ancient chip on front tip of his left arm and chips on both tips of legs, otherwise intact, overall exc. cond. A beautifully carved example. |
