Fine grayware pottery bottle having a tear drop shape body and wide tapered neck. Beautifully incised decoration consisting of repeating double thorny spirals. This style, known as Hodges Engraved, is generally characterized by curvilinear forms set off against a cross-hatched background. Neck reattached and two large original pieces reattached on the lower side and base with restoration over the break lines. |
