Description: |
Chocolateware pottery pinched neck jar with flaring rim and bulbous lower body. Late Caddoan potters developed sophisticated combed spiral design patterns to decorate their carefully formed vessels. This type of decoration is known as Keno Trail Incised. Here, flowing curvilinear spirals are filled with punctuate tool marks. Overall scattered surface deposits. Intact, exc. cond.
