| Description: |
Natural buff-brown pottery lidded vessel depicting a stylized standing jaguar, having large claws, upturned tail, and carrying a large lidded bowl on his back. Decorated with spike type nubs, and an applied lizard in the center, lid and bowl have a painted red-brown interior. Overall scattered strong mineral deposits on the surface. Two nubs have minor tip chips, otherwise intact, exc. cond. A very unusual type. |
