Abstract sickle shape iron blade, perforated, with three projections, and stippled patterns radiating from the top opening and along the raised median ridge and along base. Iron strip encircles hilt, and pommel. Iron strip partially loosened. Dark brown wood patina on grip. Custom base.
Momvu people live along the Maika River near the more well-known powerful Mangbetu people.
