Crouching figure of a male with cylindrical thick torso having a hollow rectangular compartment on the back enclosing a diminutive figure in relief. Coiffure in multi-lobed formation, and face with medallion scarification on forehead with white pigment. Fiber rope strung through perforations at sides and encircling torso. Hollowed cavity in throat. Integral base and feet lost, surface wear more abraded in some areas, pigment loss. Variegated patina around body, encrusted deposits in low crevices. Custom base. Rare form. |
