Description: Salmon-buff color terracotta astarte standing female fertility goddess, depicted with wide ample hips, outstretched short pointed arms, disc type breasts and navel. Wearing a rope type necklace, pierced ears and a double pointed crown. A restored chip on the left side of her nose, otherwise intact, exc. cond. Glued to a lucite block pillar base. Examples in excellent condition are quite hard to find.
Provenance: Dr. W. Benson Harer collection, LA., acquired from Joel Malter, June 1st, 1982.
