Description: The belt buckle was a field for elaborate decoration and a very visible symbol of rank and status. Brightly colored buckles inset with pieces of glass and stone are characteristic of Visigothic men and women's dress. This bronze buckle is set with in a geometric diamond pattern with glass mosaics and small blue-green stone discs. Strong blue-green surface patina. Intact.
