Description: |
Two different glass intaglios, including a rectangular yellow glass example depicting a well carved standing athletic Hercules holding a club behind a female warrior, whose drapery garment has fallen down her body. Together with a thick oval purple glass intaglio, well carved depiction of the profile head of Pericles wearing a helmet, with a Greek inscription behind his neck. Both are intact, exc. cond. Nice examples. |
