Carved gray volcanic stone seated male monkey deity figure, with his arms folded across his raised knees, carved with very expressive facial features, projecting jaw with a wide toothy mouth, large eyes, spiral form ears, and striated hairdo. Overall excellent ancient surface patina with deposits. Intact, exc. cond. A rare and beautifully carved example. |
