Particularly finely detailed devotional figure, carved of hardwood, with layered necklaces, bracelets, and leg cuffs, and lavish carved clothing. Standing on integral lentoid base with detailed foliate frieze. Left arm reattached with dowel. Dark brown-black patina. Custom base. Dampati figures were typically carved as part of a donor couple, Tiruputi, Andhra Pradesh. |
