Description: Carved hematite miniature headrest amulet, intact, exc. cond. 3/8”L., with Anglo-American bookstore, Cairo 1940’s. Imported to USA by Philip Mitry, ca. 1952-1952. Sold to Superior Gallery, LA. in 1975. Purchased by Dr. Harer 1975. Published: TTD #135B. Exhibited: LACMA 1986-1991. Periodically at RRFMA 1996-2024, El.01.272.1996. Two jasper hair rings, intact, exc. cond. Bulaq Museum, 1894. Emil Brugsch, Director sold it to Anthony Drexel, Philadelphia who donated it to the Drexel Museum in 1895. Drexel Museum sold it to Minneapolis Institute of Art (MIA) in 1916. MIA # 16.327 Sold to Louis Blumka, New York, in 1958. His widow sold it to Superior Galleries, LA, in 1975. Dr. Harer bought from Superior in 1976. Published: TTD #21 c and d. Exhibited: LACMA 1986-1991, and periodically at RRFMA Museum California State University San Bernardino from 1996-2024, EL.01.101.1996 & EL.02.001.2011a-c. Finally, a blue-green glazed faience pottery temple pylon amulet, having an integral suspension loop at the top. Intact, exc. cond. With Anglo-American bookstore, Cairo 1940’s. Imported to USA by Philip Mitry, ca. 1952-1952. Sold to Superior Gallery, LA. in 1975. Purchased by Harer 1976. Published: TTD #98A. Exhibited: LACMA 1986-1991. Periodically at RRFMA, 1996-2024. El.01.208.1996.
