Mottled deep brown carved shell cylinder seal having a rollout design depicting a very impressive scene of a standing bearded male figure holding a herding stick over three long horned rams, heading towards a door. A female figure seated on a throne behind the man. Behind her is another seated male figure balancing a large pottery amphora in front of him. Above his head are three pottery jugs on a shelf, a lattice covered window, and to the right of the window are two small working figures. Intact, exc. cond. A wonderful example. |
