Fine and very large deep blue lapis lazuli stone cylinder seal, having an upper and lower band of carved elaborate scenes. The upper band depicts numerous bulls, lions, rams and deer engaged in battle with a standing hero man and a bull man. Lower band of similar animals. Intact, exc. cond. A beautiful example. |
