Carved wood tiki, separated from a longer structure, the high relief figure with highly stylized face, bulging forehead, ovate eyes, distinctive open mouth baring extended tongue, rounded torso with three-digit fingers in relief, and short legs. Rectangular superstructure on back displays deeply carved detail along right side. Gray-brown dessicated patina with areas of medium brown. Some surface losses on left front leg and top of forehead. |
