Description: |
Slightly convex rectangular shield carved with a high relief anthropomorphic spirit face having large circular eyes, relief nose with perforated septum, and mouth with extended tongue. Field is filled with raised organic clan patterns. Painted with red and white pigment. Two stacked handles on back with woven raffia grips. Matte patina with surface wear.
