| Description: |
Pair of molded pottery matching figures, free-standing on solidly planted feet with right hand raised, left hand down at the hip. Both wear protective armor over their torsos, wide sleeved tunics and blousely round bulbous short pants, hair tied in a bun on the back of the head. His left hand drilled and right one shaped to hold a bow, now missing. Post-fire red, white and pink pigment on grayware terracotta. One figure has a repaired break across his left arm through his waist, hair line down the front of his skirt, with break line left visible, left foot reattached. The other figure has a reattached right forearm, and a stable hair line across his lower legs. Both have reattached right hands. Some scattered paint wear. |
